A Short Story: Peanut Butter Waffles
A waffle was afraid of being eaten. He had been lucky so far, but he knew his luck had run out: he was the last waffle in the box.
The next morning, just as the waffle was waking up, the person who lived in the house pulled the box out of the cupboard. Before the waffle knew what was happening, he was popped into the toaster.
He wished hadn’t.
The person took him out of the toaster and put the waffle on a plate and carried him over to the table to eat.
The waffle braced himself. He waited for teeth to bite down on him. He didn’t feel any. The waffle opened his eyes. He saw the person coming toward him…with a jar of peanut butter.
The person sat down and smothered the waffle’s face in the sticky substance. The waffle wanted to cry out, but alas peanut butter covered his face. He could do nothing but wait for teeth to bite down on him.
The person ate him.
